People are turned off by sales pitch. They can detect a pitch coming at them from a mile away. And typically they run as quickly as they are able. Going straight to a pitch is the worst way to form a rapport with someone. It invades their space and time.
A better tactic is the un-sales pitch. It involves training the consumer, providing information and creating buzz. When you first start talking to someone it should be your goal to get to know the person, ask them about their business or what their goals are of starting a business, get them engaged and talking to learn what’s important to them. Jumping the gun and learning nothing about the person will not bring you return business or referrals, in face it makes them feel pressured and they’ll run for the hills.
People tend to be quick to walk away from a home networking business. Leading off with a sales pitch without developing the relationship will usually lead to rejection. The idea with network marketing is to promote yourself and build relationships. If you provide a website that is full of helpful information instead of putting up content that is just trying to get someone to join your business, the more likely they will keep coming back to your site and they will eventually ask to join your business without ever asking them to.
“How To” articles are the best content to add to your site. People love reading “How To’s” and it will bring them back time and time again. Providing these kinds of articles can build a huge fan base of people who trust and respect what you have to say and are more likely to buy products you recommend or join your business. You also want to try to get people to interact with you and a great way to do that is by letting people post comments about your information. It’s also very important to respond to each and every comment to start building the relationship with that person.
You are attempting to educate them about how network marketing can help them in the same way it did you. They will have many questions as to how it all works, what they get out of it, how much work they will have to put into it and how much money they can make. These are the most common concerns that most people have. Other concerns may be that they believe they are not good at marketing. Or they live in a small town and don’t know a lot of people. If you provide articles or other content that will show people how to build and advertise their business you will create a loyal follower.
You can make a lot of money in a home business and the more repeat visitors you have on your website, the better chance you will have at building a large and well educated down line.
