Home-Based Business Revolution
This is my site Written by admin on January 27, 2010 – 4:53 am

The last ten years has seen a huge shift in how businesses are conducted and how people make money for themselves. In years gone bye, the nine to five working day was pretty standard for most people, and there was few ways to escape this formal ethic. However, this is the 21st Century and advances in communications and employee powers have meant that more people than ever are enjoying the benefits of home-working.

A huge development was when companies changed their policies and allowed staff more flexibility in work location and hours. As more and more people got connected to the internet, it became easier for them to stay in touch with work from home, and many people took advantage of increased flexibility in working hours that came about after changes were made to employer’s legal obligations to staff. At first the legislation was brought in to help those with disabilities and single parents, but as organisations realised the benefits, many have rolled it out for all their staff members.

People, like the founders of IWOOT, soon realised that they could work just as efficiently from home, and it gave them a great deal more freedom in their social life due to the loss of commuting time. Additionally they saw that they could grow the business from home without too many obstacles and this was seen by other companies who in turn adopted the idea. The home-based business never looked back.

After a few home-based businesses such as I Want One of Those.com become a succes story, millions of others followed their lead. These businesses require no less effort and business acumen, but offer an enhanced way of life for many people. For this reason some of the top business people from successful companies have decided to move away from the conventional working model and adopt a home-based approach for their own companies. There are now so many home-based businesses that there are even training schools teaching people how to set up their own. The home-based business revolution shows no signs of slowing down either…could this be the end for offices.
